Today, I hit it big at Walgreens. I had Hersheys Bliss and Secret Clinical coupons and both were on sale, plus I had register rewards. I got 3 bags of Hersheys, one Secret, a travel size Degree Anitperspirant and a newspaper and my total came to $15.62. Then I received $5.00 in register rewards. Wow!!!
I get really excited on Sunday when the newspaper comes and I can scan the ads for sales that I match up with my coupons. Highlighter/markers are your friends on Sundays.
My husbands grandmother would "go to town" to shop. She told her husband that she had saved himso much money that day. He said to her, "The only reason you didn't save me more is that you didn't spend more".
Monday's are tough, no one wants to wake up and you have to be thinking about what to cook for everyone this week. The silver lining is that you should be armed with your newspaper sale ads and some coupons. But before you get too over zealous, realize that you must first know what the lowest prices are for the items you use. A good way to do this is to begin cataloging what items cost in the store you shop at the most. Once you know that, you can begin combining sale prices with coupons and stocking up. Have a great Monday,
